Position Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for building and repairing machinery components per verbal instructions, drawings, or blueprints. Performs setup, programming, and operates, CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, and electrical discharge machine (EDM). Assists Tool Makers as assigned.
Responsibilities
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Is capable of receiving and interpreting verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
2. Programs and operates CNC machines.
3. Supports other tool makers as required.
4. Completes paperwork as required including job cards, inspection reports, logs, etc.
5. Responsible for inspection of work, assuring that machinery and parts are constructed or repaired to specification. Immediately reports problems to department supervision.
6. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
7. Keeps work area neat, clean, organized and under control.
8. Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies
Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: High school education. Any deviations from the above requirements (e.g. substituting more work experience for required education) will be evaluated and approved by the Operation Manager.
Preferred: One year CNC experience.
