CNC Operator

Oxford Solutions has a direct hire opening with our industrial client for a CNC Operator.
Seeking a skilled CNC Operator, responsible for running Haas Lathes and executing precise machining operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both Haas and Fanuc controls, programming skills, and the ability to perform program edits both at the machine and offline using Mastercam or text files.

Responsibilities

• Operate Haas Lathes and load programs into the control (Haas and Fanuc).
• Utilize programming skills to load, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs at the machine control and offline via Mastercam or text files.
• Perform setup including hard/soft jaw selection, machining techniques, and ensuring proper tooling is in place.
• Make necessary program adjustments at the machine control or offline to optimize performance and maintain precision.
• Apply machining best practices to achieve high-quality results and maintain tight tolerances.
• Monitor production runs for quality and adherence to specifications, performing inspections and making adjustments as necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred
• 1 to 3+ years experience as a CNC machine operator
• Prior experience operating Haas Lathes and using Haas/Fanuc controls.
• Proficiency in CNC programming, including the ability to make edits at the machine and offline (Mastercam or text files).
• Strong knowledge of hard/soft jaw selection, machining techniques, and proper tooling setups.
• Experience with Mastercam or other CAD/CAM software is preferred.
• Ability to maintain precision and adhere to tight tolerances during production runs.
