26-30 / hour
Triad Manufacturing is looking for an experienced CNC operator in our wood department. The candidate must be able to read blue prints, read a tape measure to 1/32" and use of micrometer, ability to pull in programs from server to machine, set up machine and tooling, identify wood sheet materials, run programs, measure and quality control parts, handle and stack parts on pallets to go to the next work station.

Position Scope

Machines produce parts on the CNC router according to drawings and specifications provided, to assure timely manufacturing of product to customer specification.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
  • Machines parts according to drawings and specifications provided.
  • Completes daily preventative maintenance on the router.
  • Have the ability to take direction.
  • Assists in training of team members.
  • Assures that parts being moved from the router are labeled correctly.
  • Other Duties
    • Cleans and organizes department's workstations.
    • Completes tasks delegated by Mill Supervisor.
    • Asks questions/seeks advise from Supervisor when in doubt.
  • Follows procedures in company handbook and other documents.
  • Displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.
  • Assures the cut quality is acceptable.
  • Assists in developing solutions to problems.
  • Maintains good attendance.
  • Is dependable and displays a strong work ethic.
  • Works within a team concept and contributes to a positive work environment.
  • Demonstrates a professional attitude in approaching job assignment.
  • Assures the work area and aisles are kept clean and free of debris.
  • Maintains a safe work attitude and environment.
Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings.
  • Possesses some computer skills and is able to learn new skills as needed.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Has knowledge of materials and processes related to the company's manufactured product.
  • Must be able to read a dial caliper or equivalent and measure in thousandths (.xxx) of an inch.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must be familiar with general departmental standards.
  • Must be able to work to high quality level.
  • Ability to do required mathematical calculations.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand eye coordination.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to work productively and independently.
  • Willingness to cross-train and rotate positions effectively.
  • Ability to operate machinery and use tools safely and productively.
Education and/or Experience

Must have high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years related industrial experience.

  • Position requires the use of near, mid-range and far vision with clarity at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less. The ability to judge distance and space relationships and see objects where and as they are. The ability to identify and distinguish colors. The ability to observe up and down or to the right or left (field of vision).

Salary range
