Responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) while providing support to the production team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Communicates with team when parts are out of program
- Assist with machining by studying work orders, blueprints and plans
- Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions and points
- Loads parts for subsequent automatic machining
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
- Performs routine inspections of completed pieces
- Maintains continuity among work shifts/supervisors
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Verbal communication
- Attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Standing - frequent to continuous
- Walking - occasional to frequent
- Bending/stooping - occasional
- Squatting/kneeling - occasional
- Gripping/manipulation - frequent
- Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to waist
