
CNC Operator - 2nd Shift
Summary/objective
· Primary duty is to set-up machine and fabricate metal parts by operating, repair and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
· Use blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
· Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the aerospace industry. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
· Work under immediate supervision.
· Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

· The attachment of two or more components to meet the drawing and specification requirements. To assist in 2nd operation in machine shop by tapping, deburring, ream of internal diameters or sharpen own tools to meet scheduling conflicts. Machinist may be utilized in inspection due to workload. This position will report to the Quality Control Manager.
Competencies
· Using a variety of hand tools/machines, this position is responsible for machine hardware. It is also machinists’ responsibility via their supervisor to provide quality hardware with on-time delivery.
Required Education and Experience
· Technical or trade school certification
· Okuma, Mazak, Fanuc and Siemens controls experience
Preferred education and experience
· High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
· Technical or trade school certification
