Job Summary: A CNC Machine Operator is an integral member of the Machine Shop staff that contributes their expertise and focus to the setup and creation of product on a variety of CNC mills and lathes. They work hand-in-hand with CNC Programmers and the MS Foreman to ensure accurate, precise, and efficient parts are made, exceeding the requirements of our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Review CAM programs for setup and operation of various CNC mills (3,4, and 5-axis) and lathes based on proficiencies and need.
  • Produce precision products that conform to customer tolerancing requirements.
  • Manage personal workflow to ensure alignment with MS schedule.
  • Support activities for the Machine Shop, as requested.
  • Support activities for Pro-Type, as requested.

Skills/Abilities:

  • MasterCAM interpretation
  • CNC Mill Operation/setup
  • CNC Lathe Operation/setup
  • Manual Equipment Operation
  • Use of mics, gauges, calipers, etc.
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • SolidWorks or 3D CAD experience

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma / GED

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift 75lbs.
