We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill/Turn Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC Mill/Turn machines to produce precision components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure quality standards are met.

CNC Mill/Turn Operator Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set up and prepare CNC Mill/Turn machines for operation.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations.
  • Ability to edit programs when needed.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced to specifications and quality standards.
  • Adjust machine settings and tool offsets as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
  • Complete tool changes and adhere to the tool change schedule to help facilitate maximum efficiency and throughput of the machine.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following lockout/tagout procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and engineers to optimize production processes.
Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a CNC Mill/Turn Operator.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Mill/Turn Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC Mill/Turn machines.
  • Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with editing G-code programming.
  • Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality control techniques.
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
