Are you an experienced professional who not only possesses a talent for precision machining but also understands that accuracy, for even the smallest parts, can be lifesaving? Our Putnam, CT, location is currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer who possesses the experience to monitor quality by, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming control while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. The programmer is responsible for first time set up and stepping through the program.

Responsibilities include but limited to:
  • Write and optimize CNC Multi-Axis, and VMC programs.
  • Develop work holding and select cutting tools.
  • Create and compile necessary documents to aid setting up machines.
  • Integrate work with Production and Quality Departments to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the factory.
  • Detect malfunctions and troubleshoots processes.
  • Ensure that programs run on machines without errors, thus ensuring the highest quality is maintained at all times.
  • Load and unload parts per program
  • Inspect parts per print and complete in-process documentation
  • May perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records.
  • Meet departmental quality, safety, and scheduling requirements.
  • Adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3-5 years on the job experience in a related field.
  • Ability to utilize CAM system i.e. MasterCam
  • Ability to do basic math, read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and coworkers.
  • Ability to work competently with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess organizational ability to set priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Able to bend, stoop, twist, reach, lift 40 pounds and stand on feet for 8 hours.
  • Vision requirements - close, distance, color, depth perception, and ability to focus
