JOB SUMMARY

Utilize engineering blueprints and work orders to produce parts using cutting, forming, finishing equipment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Ability to set up and operate metal shear and saw.
  2. Able to develop a cut list that minimizes scrap.
  3. Ability to set up and operate captive fastener(PEM) machine.
  4. Able to use various methods, tools, and equipment to deburr parts.
  5. Able to identify materials required on a work order.
  6. Accurately interpret engineering drawings and determine methods to meet required part tolerances, fit, and finish.
  7. Competently use measuring instruments and contribute to JST's quality program by following quality procedures.
  8. Utilize a Personal Computer and shop floor control software to accurately track job labor and material usage.
  9. Understand and follow company procedures and act in a safe manner in a manufacturing environment.
  10. Maintain stewardship of equipment and contribute to the maintenance and cleanliness of the shop.
  11. Perform miscellaneous tasks as required to support manufacturing, engineering, quality, and quoting departments.
  12. Contribute to team effort by achieving results. Work cooperatively with team members and assist engineering with design for manufacturability. Communicate design constraints and work within the team to achieve solutions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  1. Cutting, Forming, and Finishing Machine operation.
  2. Able to read blueprints.
  3. Use of deburring tools and equipment to meet quality standards.
  4. Experience cutting stainless steels and plastics.
  5. Able to safely lift and carry, push or pull objects up to 50lbs.
  6. Able to walk, stand and work on feet for the duration of shift.
  7. Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, grasp, handle and operate hand/power tools or controls.
  8. Ability to work and contribute within a team.
