Our customer in Sanborn, NY is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of milling machines to produce precision parts and instruments. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

This is an onsite/ full-time/permanent position
Hourly based on experience: $22-$30/hr


Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines to perform precision machining operations.
  • Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine the dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
  • Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
  • Verify dimensions of machined workpieces using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to resolve machining or quality issues.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Mill Machinist or similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and materials.
  • Experience with CNC programming and operation.
  • Ability to operate a variety of precision measuring instruments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
