How You'll Create Possibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of production workers to achieve daily and weekly targets.
- Production Management: Monitor production processes, track key performance metrics, and ensure timely and efficient workflow.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet quality standards and address issues proactively to prevent defects.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, perform regular safety audits, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, increase productivity, and reduce waste.
• Communication and Reporting: Communicate updates, issues, and successes with management, and prepare reports as required.
- Sheet metal fabrication (Operating CNC Laser Cutter and CNC Press Brake - will receive all required training)
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
- Implementing continuous improvement strategies.
- Operate forklift (will receive all required training)
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate and precise cutting.
- Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal production efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Inspect finished products for quality, identifying and addressing any defects.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and timelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or technical degree
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role with some portion of that as leader/supervisor
- 1-3 years of experience using CNC equipment (CNC Router / Lathe, CNC Laser, etc.)
- Fusion 360, Solidworks, Onshape or other CAD system proficiency
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license
- Willing to operate in a team environment
- General computer knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Self-starter/Self-directed
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and proven creativity
- Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Comfortable participating in social media and video production activities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- CNC Laser
- ShopBot experience
- Industrial maintenance proficiency and/or background
- Sheet metal working and general fabrication skills
- Rapid prototyping knowledge, including use of water jet, laser cutter, CNC machining, press brake
- Industry Certification (Welding, Machinist, Carpentry, Electronics, Sheet Metal)
- Comfortable in a collaborative environment that is also open to the community
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- 5% travel may be required for domestic and/or international travel to customer sites/ plants, etc.
