Carolina Precision Technologies (CPT) is a premier, full-service precision manufacturer for the medical and aerospace industries. We are a market leading manufacturer of implants, specialty surgical instruments, cutting tools, and delivery systems for the orthopedic, sports medicine, trauma, extremities and other MedSurg applications. We are currently seeking a full time CNC Maintenance Technician in Mooresville, NC. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, detail-oriented, and able to keep on task with minimal direct supervision.

Critical duties will include:
  • Trouble shooting, preventive maintenance, mechanical checks, construction, installation, moving, repair and maintenance of all electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment and/or systems
  • Primary function is to perform industrial machine repair/service with knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, spindles, ball screws, bearings, servo controls and machine controllers
  • Install, trouble shoot, and repair all electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and/or systems. This includes CNC manufacturing equipment, compressed air systems, electrical distribution equipment and various building systems
  • Diagnose problems, disassemble, part identification, ordering or fabricating, repair, and reassemble
  • Proper care and maintenance of all machinery
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work space

Critical Skills include: Thorough knowledge of servicing/troubleshooting/repairing CNC equipment
  • 2 years experience in industrial/CNC machine maintenance
  • Be able to diagnose machine problems, and repair machines including disassembly, part identification, ordering or fabricating, and reassemble as necessary in a clean workmanlike manner
  • Must have a good understanding of electronics systems.
  • Capable of operating all manual and power hand tools, machine tools, and electrical measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of machine schematics and control diagrams
  • Capable of working with little or no supervision
  • Must have a good working knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Knowledgeable of compressed air systems
  • Must have experience using machine setup and troubleshooting equipment: multi meters, dial indicators, micrometers/calipers, amp probes, power analyzers, kelch meters, load cells, etc.
  • Exert heavy effort and work in difficult working positions and lift up to 60 lbs
  • Knowledge of general shop operating and safety practices

Additional Skills which would be helpful:

General computing including Microsoft Excel and Word

Knowledge of/Experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Systems
