Position Overview

We’re looking for a skilled CNC Machinist/Operator who can set up, operate, and optimize CNC machines to produce precision metal parts. The ideal candidate has strong Mastercam programming experience and a background in CNC production machining, with hands-on experience in both milling and turning.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and mills (Doosan, EMCO, Johnford) and manual equipment as needed.
• Interpret, modify, and update CAD drawings (AutoCAD or similar).
• Create and edit CNC programs using Mastercam.
• Measure and validate part dimensions using CMMs, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and assist other machinists as needed.
• Support Wire-Tech’s ISO 9001 quality system.
• Collaborate with engineering on part designs and production improvements.
• Help ensure production schedules and quality standards are consistently met.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience (mills and lathes).
• Proficiency in Mastercam and AutoCAD (or similar CAD/CAM).
• Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Commitment to quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
