🔧 About the Role

Tecomet is hiring CNC Machinist II professionals to join our Warsaw, IN team on 2nd or 3rd shift. This role is ideal for skilled machinists with 3+ years of CNC experience, especially those confident in setup and operation of CNC lathes, mills, Swiss machines, and grinders.

You’ll be machining precision parts for the medical device, aerospace, and defense industries — working with complex geometries, tight tolerances, and high-performance materials.

⏰ Available Shifts

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM (Mon–Thurs)
3rd Shift: 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM (Mon–Thurs)
🕒 Includes a 12% shift premium

🔩 What You’ll Do

✅ Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, Swiss machines, and grinders
✅ Work from engineering drawings and job instructions
✅ Perform part inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other tools
✅ Make offsets, replace dull tooling, and ensure repeatable quality
✅ Maintain job documentation and follow GMP/GDP practices
✅ Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts
✅ Troubleshoot issues and communicate with leads and supervisors
✅ Maintain equipment and adhere to daily PM checklists
✅ Train and assist lower-level machinists when needed

🛠️ Requirements

Required:

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Experience performing CNC setups and operating multiple machines
• Basic G-code understanding and troubleshooting skills
• US Citizenship or Green Card (ITAR compliance)

Preferred:

• Associate degree or machinist apprenticeship
• Familiarity with Swiss machines or CNC grinding
• Experience in medical device or aerospace environments
