CNC Machinist
Full Time
The CNC Machinist II is part of our Subsea Division located in Spring, Texas. A CNC Machinist II is responsible for operating CNC machines according to Hunting procedures and engineering blueprints. This machinist has no direct supervision over employees but should be able to supervise training, preventative maintenance and daily production efforts.

Overtime is required in this position.

Responsibilities

This position is primarily responsible to:
  • Operate all equipment, CNC, or manual Lathes to produce quality parts.
  • Make any machine setup or tooling change over.
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of all inspection and gauging tools, ability to complete informational and in process inspections.
  • Assist in tooling design for future jobs.
  • Trouble shoot machines and CNC programs for problems and inefficiencies
  • General maintenance on equipment.
  • Inventory control of machining consumables.
  • Material handling
  • Operation of cranes and forklifts

Required Skills and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mathematical background or machine trade school is required; 3 years in a machine shop environment
  • 5-10 years experience in machining of CNC and Manual machines
  • Experience in an Engineer-to-Order or Make-to-Order shop environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret critical dimensions on engineering blueprints.
  • Experience with using the Machinist Handbook
  • Training on safety, drawings, shop routers or work instructions as needed.
  • Experience using statistical process controls
  • Commitment to high quality standards and continuous improvements.
  • Organized, ability to multi-task, and work flexible hours
  • Fanuc control knowledge required.
  • Experience with long bed lathe preferred.
