CNC Machinist – Class A/Leadman - Lathe

SUMMARY:  This CNC Machinist – Class A position is responsible for setting up and operating multi-axis CNC lathes.  1st and 2nd shift positions available (with 2nd shift differential)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Set-up and run multi-axis CNC lathes.
• Inspect own work and make any off-set changes as required to ensure an acceptable first piece.
• Use standard inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gages.
• Read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.
• Change any tools required and hold tight tolerances.
• Meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot own work and assist others with set-up and/or production difficulties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3-5 years’ experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC lathes
• Swiss Turn experience a +
• Must have good shop math skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be very detail oriented, organized, have good communication skills and be a team player.
• Must be able to work quickly and accurately with little supervision.
