Why This Role Exists
Boeing is expanding production capacity at its Wichita, Kansas aerospace manufacturing facility following the acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems. This role supports commercial aircraft and defense programs, producing tight-tolerance aerostructures that are critical to flight safety and performance.
Boeing is actively hiring 20–30 CNC Machinists to support stable, long-term aerospace production.

The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines
- Run production aerospace parts to tight tolerances
- Perform in-process and first-article inspections at the machine
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specs, and GD&T
- Select tooling, set offsets, and verify workholding
- Operate multiple machines when required
- Perform routine TPM / basic machine maintenance
- Document and report non-conforming material (MRB process)
- Cross-train in inspection and become SIA qualified
- Support production flow and assist less-experienced machinists
Programming is NOT required.
Setup experience is strongly preferred, but Boeing will train machinists who are ready to advance.

What We’re Looking For
Required
- 1+ years of CNC machining experience
- Hands-on experience running 3-axis AND multi-axis (4/5-axis) CNC machines
- Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts
- Comfortable performing setups, offsets, and quality checks
- Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented
- Willing to work 2nd shift
Preferred (Not Required)
- Aerospace or defense machining experience
- Experience with Mazak, Haas, Makino, or Okuma
- Previous employment at aerospace suppliers (Textron, LMI Aero, Lee Aerospace, Perfecta, etc.)

Pay (Hourly – DOE)
- 1 yr: $23.74
- 5 yrs: $26.97
- 8 yrs: $30.53
- 10 yrs: $32.56
- 12+ yrs: up to $39.04
