Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC machines and ensure optimal performance throughout the machining process.
- Maintain machine lube and coolant levels to ensure proper functioning.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine machining operations.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical skills and precision instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
- Machine parts to specifications using tools like lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
- Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure they meet specifications.
- Set up, adjust, and operate basic and advanced machine tools for precision machining.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines.
- Monitor machine feeds and speeds during operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Diagnose machine malfunctions and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock for accurate cuts and placements.
- Train Machine Operators and share expertise to enhance team performance.
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum 2 years experience with CNC machining.
- Experience programming is preferred.
