Job Description
Must be able to work 2nd Shift - 2:00PM - 10:00PM
- Must have expert knowledge of machining practices. Must understand what is needed for creating a part, ensuring quality, and the proper safety practices.
- Must have advanced blueprint reading experience.
- Must understand tooling and its proper applications
- Maintains quality output while meeting department production requirements.
- Must be able to follow and understand written instructions.
- Must have a high level of understanding of machine shop math and calculations.
- Must be able to communicate with processing for creating set up sheets and putting programs on the system for future use.
- Must be able to independently make a part from a blueprint. This includes writing a program from scratch, setting up and machining a part, selecting the proper tooling, and verifying quality. These skills must be used for CNC lathes along with vertical and horizontal mills.
- Must be able to read, understand, make necessary edits, and offset adjustments to programs when necessary.
- Must be able to understand how to calculate the proper feeds and speeds for a variety of tooling.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 8 years of machining experience in a job shop type of environment.
- Degree in Machine Tool
III. Essential Functions
- The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual
- The ability to work cooperatively with others
- The ability to perform several tasks at once
- The ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information
- The ability to lift 40 lbs.
- The ability to stand/bend/stretch, etc. for the duration of a shift.
