Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Occasional weekend work may be offered but is NEVER mandatory and availability of overtime is based on production demands. We are currently offering overtime so if you need the extra hours, apply today!
Essential Functions:
1. Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
2. Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to ensure quality of productions. Report all machine malfunctions to management.
3. Communicate with management, production control, quality, or other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
4. Maintain organization of tooling and other equipment in work area
5. Maintain a clean and orderly work area
6. Accurately record time and job performance in current Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system(s)
7. Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment
This job operates in an indoor, temperature-regulated, industrial manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard machining equipment such as CNC horizontal and vertical machines, precision measuring instruments and other accessory tooling associated with those machines, and blueprints.
