Role
As a CNC Machinist (also known as CNC Operator, CNC Programmer), you'll assist with the set-up, programming, operation, and adjustment of CNC machines. Working from drawings and written instructions, you'll create replacement and new parts for repairs to metal parts and for experimental apparatus or prototype equipment. You'll also be responsible for writing/editing/modifying programs for CNC Machines, operating machines according to exact tolerances, and performing routine inspections and minor maintenance.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a fully qualified machinist.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prints, work with auto cad, hand tools and measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers and tape measures.
  • Ability to write CNC programs and set up and operate manual lathes and other machines according to precise tolerances.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
