Your Role:
Set up and operate machinery, produce, and inspect product. Assist operators to ensure parts meet specifications. This role includes but is not limited to:
- Set up and operate CNC machinery.
- Assist operators with part inspection and machine adjustments.
- Inspect parts visually and dimensionally.
- Clean, maintain and calibrate CNC machines.
- Work with small parts and hold tight tolerances.
- Follow all departmental procedures and meet quality requirements.
- Use manual dexterity to manipulate small objects.
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- 5+ years of previous experience as a machinist OR 18+ months experience in Straumann's machinist apprentice program
- 1+ years of experience reading blueprints and performing precision measuring of parts
- Graduate of a Technical or Trade School's Machinist program
- Experience with Swiss style CNC lathes
- Prior Medical Device or Dental experience
- Attention to fine detail and high quality
