CNC Lathe Setup/Lead / Programmer

UTRS Advanced Manufacturing (UTRS AM) is currently seeking a CNC Lathe Programmer/Setup Lead to join our team! This position will be responsible for programming 2-axis and multi-axis Doosan Lathes using Fusion 360 or Mastercam software. This position will also be responsible for machine set up of Doosan Lynx LYC and LSYB multi-axis turning centers. Once set up, this individual will work with other team members to show them how to properly operate the machine and perform quality inspection.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a lead member of our Lathe Department. Duties include:

• Independently be able to program and setup 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathe machines
• Work with Quality Control department to produce in-process inspection documents
• Perform 1st article inspection of parts coming off new set-up, teach operators how to inspect
• Complete understanding on how to read blueprints, along with geometric tolerances
• Setup and operate automated bar feeder systems
• Knowledge of cutting tools, along with feeds and speeds
• Maintenance knowledge and abilities helpful, for Doosan and Haas equipment

What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in programming CNC Lathe machines
• Must be proficient in programming using Fusion 360 or Mastercam software
• Basic PC knowledge required, (MS Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Must be able to work in a physical capacity, lifting and moving heavy objects
• High school diploma required, college or trade school degree beneficial, but not required
• Mechanical inspection, using bench top tooling, CMM helpful
• Must have reliable source of transportation to arrive at work
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
