GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for operatingand maintaining CNC Lathe machinery to produce precision components that meetor exceed company and customer standards. This role requires attention todetail, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to quality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Highschool diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC Lathe machiningpreferred.
1-3years of experience operating CNC lathes or similar equipment.
Abilityto read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical documents.
Strongmechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles.
Abilityto perform basic programming or modify existing CNC lathe programs (preferred).
Solidproblem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot effectively.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce components according to blueprints and work orders.
- Adjust machines, tools, and fixtures for optimal performance.
- Monitor and inspect parts during production using precision measurement tools to ensure specifications are met.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and make necessary adjustments or reprogram controls.
- Replace worn tools and perform routine sharpening as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment following manufacturer guidelines.
- Document production activities and maintain accurate quality logs.
- Communicate irregularities, safety issues, and process needs to supervisors.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to address issues and optimize processes.
- Uphold safety standards, promptly reporting any hazards or incidents.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance equipment operation and workflow.
