Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reads blueprints and sets up CNC Lathe to machine parts per specifications
  • Edits the G-Code program to machine parts of varying sizes
  • Measures raw materials to end products with instruments
  • Selects and installs check jaws on the Lathe as needed
  • Lifts raw material and attaches it appropriately to the Lathe for milling
  • Operates CNC lathe milling machine to turn molds to specifications
  • Follows safety precautions and assists maintenance with repairs as needed
  • Operates cranes and overhead cranes as needed
  • Inspects machined components and reports findings

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of related experience and/or training
  • Experience with Fanuc or Mazak controls must be able to edit and prove out new programs
  • Previous experience with downhole tools and sand control equipment
  • Select the required tooling and make setups
  • Ability to enter information into the Cimco database accurately
  • Basic math skills needed for business calculations
  • Basic understanding of machines and machine tools
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends
  • Able to work second shift position
  • Will require running two lathes at times when needed

Education
  • High school diploma or GED required, or a minimum of one to three years work related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Proficient in communicating with colleagues and in creating a team working environment.
  • Current health, safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Includes both regulatory and SES required courses).
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operations.
  • Ethical business practices.
  • Applicable PPE is required to complete assigned tasks.
  • Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Understanding written statements in work-related documents.
  • Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions.

BEHAVIORAL ABILITIES
  • Ability to safely operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment.
  • Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
  • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem and communicating it to a supervisor.
  • Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
  • Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, according to applicable procedures and/or work orders.
  • Commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
  • Organize tasks and responsibilities in a manner that maintains production output standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections according to the standard operating procedure.
  • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints or drawings.
  • Use time efficiently.
  • Deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Sitting - for extended periods without being able to leave the work area.
  • Standing - for extended periods without being able to leave the work area.
  • Walking - considerable distances, please indicate.
  • Lifting - Up to 50 Lbs. maximum & frequent.
  • Pulling and/or pushing - on a frequent basis
  • Carrying - regularly carries objects in his/her arms or on the shoulder(s)
  • Grasping - regularly picks up objects with fingers.
  • Reaching - regularly required to use hands and arms to reach objects.
  • Stooping/Crouching - regularly required to bend forward by bending at the waist or by bending legs and spine
  • Speaking - requires expressing ideas through the spoken word.
  • Listening - requires the perception of speech or the nature of sounds in the air.
