SUMMARY:
The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for setting up and running CNC lathe equipment to produce products in a high mix moderate volume environment. Full time 12 hour shifts. Hiring for 3rd Shift and Weekends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate CNC lathes including set‐ups/changeovers, offsets, change inserts, and tooling
- Proficient in the use of standard measuring devices
- Troubleshoot problems that may occur during operation
- Provide in‐process inspection
- Achieve production output and quality per standards
- Demonstrate manufacturing line knowledge and participate in process improvement
- Read and comprehend moderately complex instructions.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Complete tasks as assigned with limited supervision
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years experience as CNC lathe operator in a machine shop or production environment
- Experience turning / threading API products (BTC, LTC); preferably > 9 5/8” OD casing couplings
- Experience with FANUC controls / codes (preferably on YCM, Doosan, or Samsung CNC lathes)
- Experience using Gage maker thread measurement tools
- Experience in a high mix moderate volume operation is a plus
- Ability to use micrometers, calibers, other measurement instruments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical prints
- Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously
