CNC Glass Cutting Table Operator

As the CNC Glass Cutting Table Operator you help drive production in our facility, and you will play a critical role in delivering a quality product, on time, to our valued customers. You will be responsible for loading the glass cutting machine while monitoring the AS400 ERP System to optimize and cut the right glass for the delivery schedule and once cut, deliver glass to internal plant departments for processing while maintaining the highest standards of Safety. This is an hourly role on our morning shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm with a starting wage of $23.50/hr which is negotiable with experience.

• Become part of the team by communicating positively with lead-hand, co-workers, and supervisor
• Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition
• Loading and unloading glass will require gantry crane operation and/or manual lifting
• Monitor AS400 ERP system and the ability to optimize the right glass at the right time
• Ensure proper reading of tags for glass selection and department requirements
• Operate the Bystronic and advise the gantry crane to select the appropriate stock glass based on run information in AS400 ERP system. Adjust glass thickness settings as required.
• Monitor the glass throughout the electronic operating system to ensure completion
• Review display monitor for proper tag placement; place the tags on the scored glass
• Break - out scored pieces of glass and inspect edges for quality and reject if required
• Based on tag information place tagged glass on rack, dolly, or A-frame as required
• Transport racked glass to the appropriate department while following all safety procedures
• Ability to manually pull glass sheets as required
• Responsible for proper disposal of broken glass and general housekeeping within the department
• Operate a forklift and crane as required
• Ability to move packs of glass using the overhead crane
• Must be able to optimize the correct glass at the appropriate time
• Maintain inventory as required
• Adhoc requests throughout the plant as required
