Oldershaw Steel Services, owned by Brannon Steel, is looking for a CAD Operator/CNC Programmer to work day shift (Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm) at its Etobicoke manufacturing facility. Starting from $21 per hour, you will apply mechanical design principles to turn customer drawings and specifications into production CAD files for a variety of industrial processes.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret customer designs and specifications.
  • Operate industrial CAD / CAM software (i.e. AutoCAD, ProNest) to output production drawings and layouts.
  • Daily maintenance of the plate inventory system to ensure accuracy and optimization of materials used.
  • Communicate with sales and engineering staff regarding work requirements.
  • Provide information and support to production staff.
  • Maintain standards for document control, quality, and traceability.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper files.

Requirements
  • Completion of a post-secondary mechanical design or similar program.
  • Proficient with CAD / CAM applications such as AutoCAD and ProNest.
  • Fluent in both imperial and metric systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T.
  • Read, write, and speak English at a conversational level.
  • Complete work independently based on assigned priorities.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.
