About the Opportunity
Job Summary
This is a CNC machining position that supports the advanced manufacturing group and the metal additive manufacturing laboratory. Materials that need machining will often be made with additive methods such as cold spray, fiction stir-welding and wire arc-DED. The machinist will be responsible for receiving drawings or CAD, programming toolpaths, operating the machines, and maintaining the machines. Primary machines are HAAS VF-4SS mill, HAAS ST-15 lathe and OMAX 1508 waterjet. The machinist will be responsible for bringing jobs from start to finish independently. Research and fabrication supports advanced manufacturing for the defense industry with a focus on marine, robotic and land systems.
This position is based in Burlington, MA.

Qualifications
- 2+ years CNC programming and machining
- Basic metrology for dimension verification
- Ability to translate drawing into finished part independently
- Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve
- Excellent organizational skills
- Eligibility to obtain National Security Clearance
