Northeast Tool & Manufacturing, a leading aerospace and precision CNC machining company, is seeking a highly skilled 5-Axis CNC Machinist III to join our growing team in Matthews, NC.

🔧 Responsibilities

• Set up and operate simultaneous 5-axis CNC mills (DMG Mori with Siemens 840D controls)
• Interpret and troubleshoot G-code programs and blueprints
• Manufacture complex aerospace parts to tight tolerances (±.0002” or tighter)
• Use digital measurement tools and follow strict inspection protocols
• Align and secure workpieces, fixtures, tooling, and accessories
• Perform first-piece inspections and complete critical dimension sheets
• Follow control/manufacturing plans provided by engineering
• Support 5S and Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) efforts

✅ Requirements

• 5+ years CNC machining experience, including multi-axis or simultaneous 5-axis milling
• Proficiency with tight tolerance machining (0.0002”–0.0005” typical)
• Strong familiarity with Siemens 840D controls
• Experience with GD&T, shop math, and blueprint interpretation
• High school diploma or GED

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DMG Mori, Grob, Okuma, or Makino CNC machines
• Background in AS9100-certified aerospace environments
• Experience machining high-temp alloys (e.g., Inconel, Monel)
• GD&T certification to ASME Y14.5–2018 standard
• Mastercam experience (v2023 or newer)
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher
• NIMS CNC Milling credentials
