CNC Operator Responsibilities
  • Operate several CNC machines, loading bars of material, monitoring operation & taking measurements, while making quality parts, safely as part of a team.
  • Maintain quality assurance procedures and processes, performing quality audits
  • Maintain equipment and supplies
  • Maintain product specifications by observing machining operations, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls, replacing worn tools
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and housekeeping
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions

Job requirements:
  • Minimum of five years in CNC machining
  • Familiarity with blue prints
  • Basic math skills, including decimals and ability to convert between inches and metric measurements. Algebra and geometry are a plus!
  • Knowledge of metals and materials, including but not limited to steel, stainless steel, and copper, and their machine-ability and ability to use measuring equipment (micrometers, Dial or Digital Calipers, Optical comparator)
  • Demonstrated initiative and improvement mindset a must; Familiarity with quality concepts, such as in-process auditing and lean manufacturing
  • Proven track record of reliability, dependability, maturity, attention to detail, and ability to learn is key as we will be providing comprehensive training on CNC machining.
*This position has the opportunity to fill a Team Leader role with a higher hourly wage.*

Team Leader Responsibilities
  • Foster & promote a constructive team environment, working 1:1 with employees
  • Coordinate with first shift, sales and supervisor to understand priorities, assign operators to machine and monitor progress during shift
  • Ensure audits and logsheets are completed and adequate information for the next shift
  • Assist with audits and part counts to ensure maximum productivity on the shift
  • Monitor training progress and communicate with management on training opportunities as well as any disciplinary issues
  • Assign work if machines go down, ensure work areas are clean and tidy
  • Physically pack and prepare product for shipment
  • Ensure that facility is shut down and locked properly at the end of shift
2nd Shift hours: 3:15pm - 1:45am Monday - Thursday
