Machine Shops hate job boards and recruiters

@ Machine Shop Hiring Managers... 📣 🔔

We’ve talked to hundreds of machine shops about how they recruit & hire CNC machinists, and this is what we know.

1. Job boards suck. 🤢 They just don’t really work well for machining roles. The ratio of good candidates to total applications is brutal. Often times there are 100 applicants and only 1 will somewhat meet the qualifications. Most are international applicants. That’s a lot of time sifting through bad resumes.

2. Staffing agencies over-promise and are expensive. 😕 Nobody really wants to use staffing agencies. But shops are desperate. All shop owners are terrified they will hire a machinist, pay the staffing agency $20K, and then the machinist leaves on day 31. That’s a big check to write without knowing how long you’ll retain the machinist for.

3. Hiring an internal recruiter is expensive and time intensive. Unless you’re a massive manufacturing outfit, this probably isn’t in the cards for you.

Now, doesn’t hireCNC have a job board⁉ Yes we do. And aren’t we a staffing agency ⁉ Yes we are.

But for those shops who want more than what the job boards can produce (not a high bar), but also aren’t willing to dish out $20K checks to hire a machinist, we offer “Retained Search”.

What is Retained Search? Basically... our services and expertise on a lower flat monthly fee. There are no extra fees for successful hires. No big checks to write. You can hire 1, 2, 3 machinists... it doesn’t matter.

hireCNC works to provide you a steady pipeline of machinist candidates through the life of our contract. We are an extension of your team. And if you aren’t happy with the services being provided... you cancel with 30 days notice.

Here’s what we provide with the Retained Search Services:

*** Job board postings
*** Inbound applications and screening
*** Headhunting (using our own extensive database, LinkedIn, Facebook Groups, Industry Forums, etc)
*** Blog posts
*** Help schedule interviews and next steps
*** Help deliver job offers
