hireCNC Talent Tracker - Nov 20 2024
@Machine Shops - are you hiring? hireCNC is loading up our machine shop clients with qualified machinist candidates. Here’s a real quote from a real shop:
“You guys are doing a great job with candidates but its almost too much! Here is my ask. Can you guys create a spreadsheet of candidates and track them as they are active, offers being made, start dates, etc.. We can review this on a weekly basis on a 30 minute weekly touch point. Think this is a much cleaner communication plan. Thoughts?”
With this shop and a few others, we work on special terms. Basically, they need to hire a lot of machinists over a several month period. And the standard recruiting fees across 5-10+ hires can add up quickly.
This shop was so impressed with the quality and volume of candidates we produced, that they suggested a retainer agreement. What does that mean?
They pay hireCNC a flat monthly fee. If they hire any candidates that hireCNC brings forward, they do not owe additional fees.
This is good for the employer because they save money over the numerous hires they need to make, which allows them to get more aggressive with offers to candidates. They don’t have to worry about writing big checks to hireCNC every time they want to hire somebody.
And this is good for hireCNC because we have predictable cashflows and recruiting relationships. Both sides are aligned and working toward the same goals. hireCNC is essentially an extension of the employer’s team.
If you’re a shop that has a built out hiring plan, requiring several CNC Machinists / Programmers over period of time, then considering asking us about our retainer agreements.
Note: hireCNC picks and chooses who we work with on these agreements. We need to be sure your shop is a good place to work. And we need to be sure that you are committed to hiring strong candidates.
