Additional responsibilities, qualifications &amp; skills for this role may include but are not limited to: - Oversight or troubleshooting for other machining processes within the SEP campus (outside of SMC) &amp; providing shift vacation coverage as required - Ability to lead &amp; direct work to meet production targets and to ensure continuity across shifts - Significant experience of CNC machining and programming is required. This must include being able to operate, program and troubleshoot equipment faults/failures and the ability to write CNC programs from technical part drawings. - Must have working knowledge of Geometric Design &amp; Tolerancing (GD&amp;T). - Experience with Siemens 840D controls, Fanuc controls, and Atlas Copco torque units is beneficial. - Experience leading cross functional teams with Operations, Quality, HSE, and Materials working on plant initiatives, improvements, and goals is required. - Ability to supervise/coach/mentor Machining Engineers, AMA's, Interns/Co-ops, School to Work students, while having direct machining support responsibilities. - Must be a self-starter, capable of identifying, leading, and working on projects as well as assigned tasks/projects on own motivation. CNC Machinist - Day Shift - Yankton

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Perform machine operations on CNC or manual engine lathe. Tasks such as profiling, sub-blanking, coupling turning and threading. Second level in CNC Machinist training requiring close supervision. DUTIES: <ul><li>Ability to set up and thread VAM TOP Family threads and API threads, pin and boxes.</li><li>Accurately measure, and record product tolerances required for Pre-Level CNC 1, VAM Top family, and API threads.</li><li>Comprehend Original Equipment Manufacturer, Vallourec Tube-Alloy drawings and Manufacturing Orders.</li><li>Maintain product traceability throughout the manufacturing process, including product marking per SOP, TSLI, and Licensor requirements.</li><li>Follow Vallourec Tube Alloy HS&amp;E safety standards, policies and understand the Risk Assessments pertaining to machine operations.</li><li>Perform machine maintenance per SOP, TSLI, and Autonomous Maintenance requirements.</li><li>Capable of making required molds for VAM Top family of threads.</li><li>Maintain 5S standards.</li><li>Maintain operator measured Efficiencies and Utilization requirements.</li><li>Participate in at least one Continuous Improvement Event.</li><li>Must have successfully completed all classroom, SOP, and TSLI related training for CNC 1.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul> REPORTS TO: Department Manager/Supervisor/Lead Person as applicable per facility QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet requirements for Pre-CNC 1. CNC Machinist (2nd Shift)

Offering Sign on Bonus, $500 payable at 6-month anniversary, $750 payable at 12-month anniversary DESCRIPTION: The CNC Machinist will perform accurate and timely set-ups utilizing CNC mill or lathe machining centers. Proficient in accurate change-over of machine set-ups. Ensure conformance to customer requirements using calibrated measuring equipment and visual inspection. Record and comprehend company work instructions and set-up books.
