CNC Boring Bar Machinist

CNC Operator - 3rd Shift

• Confirm job order procedures and instructions relating to machine operations. • Set up and operate CNC Machines and/or production equipment; strictly following instructions, job specifications and blueprints. • Read blueprints accurately to properly set up machinery. • Operate hand tools as necessary to set up tools in the correct machine. • Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions. • Identify and stamp parts for traceability. • Inspect products per print. • Keep machine clean, perform minor maintenance as needed, and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel. • Must be willing to purchase required tools, which must pass certification criteria. • Must be able to complete the above tasks under close supervision. <ul><li>Perform entry level CNC machining processes with assistance.</li><li>Skills to be developed by repeating operations and on the job training.</li><li>Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blue prints.</li><li>Able to write routine reports and correspondence.</li><li>Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.</li><li>Able to compute rate, ratio and percent. </li></ul>• Other duties as assigned.
