Primary Duties and Responsibilities <ul><li>Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with these blueprints.</li><li>Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly.</li><li>Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.</li><li>Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.</li><li>Consider tools required to cut materials and program machines accordingly.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.</li><li>Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening.</li><li>Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs.</li><li>Understand and comply with LOTO, HAZ Com, PPE, Confined Space and all other Company, State and Federal Safety Programs.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Department Assistant.</li></ul> Position Requirements <ul><li>2+ years of technical training and 4+ years' experience or equivalent.</li><li>Must have strong attention to detail.</li><li>Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.</li><li>Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.</li><li>Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential.</li><li>Should have a positive and professional attitude.</li><li>Verbal and written communication in English.</li><li>Understanding of quality requirement and of ISO 9001:2015 procedures.</li><li>Use precision measuring instruments, i.e., micrometers, calipers, etc.</li><li>Knowledge of single and multiple point cutters, cutting speeds and feeds and coolants.</li><li>Knowledge of company policies, shop, and safety rules.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to use a tablet to access MMS for workorders</li><li>Program, Setup and Running of CNC Mills and CNC Lathes</li><li>Program, Setup and Running of Wire EDM Machines</li><li>Fluent in Solid Works, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor.</li><li>Capable to learn AC CamEasy EDM Software</li><li>Be able to reverse engineer parts and components for manufacturing equipment and dies</li><li>Provide drawings and revisions to existing parts and die components</li><li>Set-up and operation of Tool Room Machine tools, to include but not limited to vertical milling machines, turning, drilling, tapping, boring, grinding-surface, tool and cutter and pedestal.</li><li>As required, ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and lift cumbersome and or heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).</li></ul> Diversity &amp; Inclusion Statement UPG Enterprises LLC and its Affiliates is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
