As an Intermediate Machinist, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. In this job you will be setting up and operating a variety of CNC Turning, Vertical and Horizontal machining centers. Duration of set-ups varies, once set-up, running times vary depending on the job order. You will be working in a production environment where all jobs have a measured standard production rate, and you will be responsible for the quality of your work. Most tasks require good hand/eye coordination and the full range motion of both hands and arms on a regular and repetitive basis. CNC Machinist Intermediate- 2nd shift

Job Type Full-time Description The CNC Machinist responsibilities include the setup and operation of CNC equipment in order to produce quality products that meet all applicable requirements. Perform quality inspections of their work and make any required adjustments per general manufacturing practices and company policies/procedures. Requirements Major Responsibilities: <ul><li>Perform setups and operation of assigned CNC equipment.</li><li>Inspection using variety of gauging including CMM. </li><li>Use common inspection equipment: micrometers, indicators, and calipers.</li><li>Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.</li><li>Assist in the training of other operators in the safe use and operation of CNC equipment.</li><li>Perform first piece sample verification of work done by others throughout the manufacturing operation.</li><li>Maintain correct time reporting and accurate entries on manufacturing and inspection records.</li><li>Comply with all company quality and safety requirements.</li></ul> Minimum Qualifications: <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent </li></ul> Minimum Competencies: <ul><li>Strong mechanical aptitude.</li><li>Ability to read and understand G&amp;M programming</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blue prints/drawings.</li><li>Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning &amp; Tolerancing (GD&amp;T).</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>5 years of tool maker / tool room experience preferred</li><li>Aerospace experience is a plus.</li></ul> Operational Details / Work Environment: <ul><li>This position operates in a shop environment with moving machinery. </li><li>This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting is required.
