<h6>An Opening Exists For:&nbsp;CNC Programming Engineer (Contractor)</h6><h6>This Position Reports Directly To: &nbsp; Engineering Manager</h6>Barnes Aerospace MRO East Granby has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a CNC Programming Engineer (Contractor) with a solid background in En who enjoys a diverse, fast-paced work environment.&nbsp;The CNC Programming Engineer (Contractor) will execute activities associated with the development, application and maintenance of manufacturing standards for the manufacturing processes.&nbsp;If you are a disciplined and collaborative individual with demonstrated understanding of Lean who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver results, you may be an excellent candidate to join our team.Core Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Lead turning (lathe and VTL) programming development, instruction, and debugging tasks in collaboration with Process Engineers and machining leads.</li><li>Directly support operations with NC programming changes to address issues as they come up.</li><li>Directly support NPI development with new NC programs.</li><li>Work with Process Engineers with CAD model development and validation for milling and turning operations.</li><li>Work directly with Senior Engineering staff on various engineering initiatives.&nbsp;</li></ul>Qualifications:&nbsp;<ul><li>Five or more years direct experience in turning CNC programming.</li><li>Experience processing nickel and titanium based alloys in Aerospace machining operations.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees.</li><li>Proficient in performing full set-ups, program edits, and holding high precision tolerances.</li><li>Ability to program with NX CAM and manually as necessary. </li><li>Must be familiar with Repair Technical Data e.g. Engine Repair Manuals, Service Bulletins, OEM approved supplemental data, etc.&nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Must have experience authoring typical shop process planning paperwork e.g. Routers, Operation Sheets, Inspection Forms, etc.&nbsp;</li></ul>Education Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering a plus&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>This position is a safety sensitive position.
