JOB: CNC MACHINE OPERATOR/ MACHINIST (EXP WITH PLASMA TABLE) PAY: $25/HR + $3/HR RAISE AS LEARN NEW MACHINES TYPE: FULL TIME/ POSSIBLY PERMANENT (NOT SUITABLE FOR STUDENTS) LOCATION: GUELPH, ON QUALIFICATIONS: - MUST HAVE OWN CAR AS BUS DOES NOT COVER FULL SHIFT - ABLE TO READ, WRITE AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS IN ENGLISH - HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT - PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE OPERATING PLASMA TABLE AND VARIOUS OTHER CNC MACHINES - ABILITY TO READ AND INTERPRET BLUEPRINTS, DIAGRAMS AND PROJECT PLANS - ABILITY TO READ A TAPE MEASURE IN BOTH METRIC AND IMPERIAL - STRONG MECHANICAL APTITUDE AND TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS - EXCELLENT ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND ABILITY TO WORK IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT - PHYSICAL STAMINA DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES: - OPERATE CNC MACHINERY TO CREATE OBJECTS AS PER BLUEPRINT SPECIFICATIONS - COLLABORATE WITH TEAM MEMBERS TO ENSURE GOOD WORK FLOW. - SET UP AND OPERATE CNC MACHINES - MONITOR MACHINERY PERFORMANCE AND CONDUCT ROUTINE MAINTENANCE TO ENSURE OPTIMAL OPERATION. - ADHERE TO SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND REGULATIONS AT ALL TIMES TO PREVENT ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES. - COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH SUPERVISORS AND TEAM MEMBERS TO COORDINATE WORK ACTIVITIES AND ADDRESS ANY ISSUES THAT ARISE. - FOLLOW COMPANY SAFETY POLICIES/MAINTAIN A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT - CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WELL WITH OTHERS PLEASE APPLY BY ATTACHING YOUR RESUME.
