Job Title: CNC Machine Operator (Lathe) Division: Precision Pulley &amp; Idler (PPI) FLSA: Non-Exempt Grade: 3 Job Status: Full Time Travel Required: 0% Revision Date: January, 2023 Reports To: Production Supervisor PURPOSE OF POSITION To perform the set up and operation of a CNC Lathe ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. More specifically, the employee owner will: <ul><li>Perform setup and operation of CNC (or manual) Lathe - Typical operations include: ID and OD turning</li><li>Produce quality parts that fall within the supplied, or standard, tolerances</li><li>Be able to use measuring equipment to validate and ensure part quality</li><li>Read and follow work orders, including Production Schedules and Manufacturing Orders</li><li>Achieve a throughput level that is at or above expectation</li><li>Be able to run a manual lathe</li><li>Occasionally run multiple machines, simultaneously</li><li>Work with a good attitude and willingness to be flexible with daily demands</li><li>Perform all activities in a safe manner, per job specific training and general safety rules</li><li>Be able to distinguish the size difference of the tube stock, shafting, slugs, and plates</li><li>Be able to perform programming sequence to create new programs</li><li>Be able to change out tooling - Including: cutting inserts, tool holders, drills, etc.</li><li>Perform required preventative maintenance</li><li>Maintain knowledge on differences between pulleys and pulley subcomponents</li><li>Willingness to work in other areas/functions within the plant</li><li>Regular, consistent attendance.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance and cleaning</li><li>Communicate positively with supervisors, fellow workers, and other internal customers</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
