DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of the CNC Set-up Operator are detailed below, but not limited to the following: <ul> <li>Set-Up and operate all CNC and other machines in the Fabrication Department in an effective and cost-efficient manner while maintaining good quality and safety standards, some programming may be required.</li> <li>Make adjustments to the machining program as required.</li> <li>Fabricate the required parts based on the Fabrication Drawing.</li> <li>Perform required PM checks daily as required.</li> <li>Follow work order specifications and packing instructions.</li> <li>Read and follow all notes in the computer system (Epics).</li> <li>Ensure first piece sample is double-checked by other plant personnel.</li> <li>Ensure material is identified and all work order data is correct before production.</li> <li>Ensure incoming materials are to spec before proceeding with fabrication.</li> <li>Responsible for reporting equipment malfunction.</li> <li>On-time order completion.</li> <li>Comply with all quality related policies, procedures and system requirements.</li> <li>If certified and approved by company, may operate a forklift to assist in tasks.</li> <li>Perform other jobs as required.</li> </ul> Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience <ul> <li>High School diploma and relevant production experience is desirable</li> <li>Some education in CNC is considered a strong asset</li> <li>Candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in CNC Set-Up/Machine Operation</li> </ul> Technical Skills/Competence <ul> <li>Must have good team building and motivational skills</li> <li>Should have a good command in English, written and oral with the ability to train other employees</li> <li>Must be familiar with precision measuring instruments and the ability to read drawings</li> <li>Ability to work well with numbers is essential</li> <li>A solid understanding of the following equipment/technology; CNC machine, square, tape measure, punch press/press brake, Mastercam software, linear measuring machine, weighting scale, drills, digital calliper, Faro cmm, calculator deburring wheel</li> <li>Experience with Epics considered an asset</li> <li>Forklift licence an asset</li> </ul> Benefits We offer a full and competitive benefits package including: <ul> <li>Profit sharing</li> <li>Health care spending account</li> <li>Education assistance program</li> <li>Health and dental</li> <li>Life AD&amp;D</li> <li>Long-term disability</li> <li>Critical illness insurance</li> <li>Gym memberships</li> <li>Wellness programs</li> <li>Monthly social committee activities</li> </ul>
