GENERAL SUMMARY: Individual is responsible for fabricating various types of products. Work Schedule: Friday - Sunday, 12-hour shifts 5:30am-5:30pm, work 36 hours, but get paid for 40 hours! RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Study and interpret set up instructions, work instructions, drawings, layouts, sketches, router sheets, and production schedule</li><li>Fabricate, adjust, operate and be proficient in the operation of various fabricating equipment including but not limited to cutting, forming, punching, grinding of material.</li><li>Must be able to operate both manual and computer aided machines.</li><li>Must be able to run all programs and modify specific programs on computer aided machines.</li><li>Determine if all parts are present.</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.</li><li>Read parts list.</li><li>Interpret measurements.</li><li>Verify specifications.</li><li>Alter dimensions to fit specifications.</li><li>Resolve production issues.</li><li>Complete preventive maintenance.</li><li>Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.</li><li>Ensure working environment is clean and safe.</li><li>Report errors in product line.</li><li>Check stock to ensure inventory is replenished.</li><li>Complete quality control forms.</li><li>Place orders for supplies.</li><li>Participate in product development.</li><li>Build prototypes and test products.</li><li>Prioritizing work based on production schedule. </li><li>Communicate effectively/appropriately with team members, leads and supervisors.</li><li>Effectively and accurately use VMI, Kanban cards, material withdrawal forms, stock, fabricated, and special-order parts so inventory counts are correct</li></ul> REQUIRED CREDENTIALS: <ul><li>Basic experience with hand tools</li><li>Basic math, tape measure, and computer skills </li><li>Must be 18 years old </li></ul> EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: <ul><li>Prefer manufacturing experience</li><li>Prefer CNC experience </li><li>Prefer High School Diploma or GED equivalent</li></ul> ABOUT US: Marion Body is an independent, family owned and operated manufacturer located in Marion, Wisconsin and Shawano, Wisconsin where the company was founded in 1905 and has been in continuous operation ever since. Knowledge of gear hobbing procedures, including proof and edits of programs, quality standards, and measuring equipment. Operate machines when necessary. Essential Functions <ul><li>Read machining instructions, blueprints, and gear specification sheets to define machine settings, fixtures, and required hobs used for dimensions and tolerances.</li><li>Select or build fixtures, holders, tooling, hobs, and attachments.</li><li>Confer with engineers, programmers, production employees, and management to resolve machining issues, while maintaining continuous improvement, improved tool life, reduction of tooling costs, machine downtime, improved set up time, and implementation of quality improvements.</li><li>Work with Engineering on new product launches for fixturing, tooling, and processes.</li><li>Comply with all work instructions, following and maintaining ISO/QS Standards and Northern Gear &amp; Machining procedures, and quality certification requirements.</li><li>Assisting/Training operators in gear/hob/shaper department.</li><li>Other job-related duties as assigned.</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, &amp; Abilities: <ul><li>Requires physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position.
