WHAT YOU'LL DO <ul> <li>Operate CNC and non-CNC machines</li> <li>Set-up and operation of 3, 4 &amp; 5-axis CNC vertical milling centers</li> <li>Assembly of diamond grinding tools in tool holders and positioning of tools in machine spindles and tools changers</li> <li>Load, edit and store CNC programs</li> <li>Write CNC programs to produce accurate and high quality parts</li> <li>Perform difficult and complex set-ups and operate machine on challenging assignments, from new and unusual to difficult, under minimal supervision with direction from engineering or area supervisor</li> <li>Fabrication of precision components out of glass and ceramic materials (Zerodur, ClearCeram, Fused Silica, Calcium Fluoride, Silicon, among others)</li> <li>Handle and clean optical components</li> <li>Provide guidance and training to lower level personnel</li> <li>Maintain a clean and orderly work environment by following cleaning schedules and inventory control</li> <li>Perform maintenance and preventatives maintenance on equipment and tooling</li> <li>Work with engineering on developing testing methods for new products</li></ul>WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW <ul> <li>HS Diploma plus 8 or more years related work experience</li> <li>A.S. CNC Machinist II - 2nd Shift

2nd Shift Machinist/CNC/Manual, Up to $36 per Hour Nidec Minster is currently seeking Machinist/CNC/Manual for our Minster, Ohio location. Machinists for Nidec Minster will work in an engineered-to-order "job shop" environment where our products are made one at a time requiring many setups and holding close tolerances.
