Overview At BPI Medical, we are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our dynamic team with 5+ years’ programming experience along with Five (5) to Ten (10) years of precision machining experience.. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating CNC machinery. This role involves precision machining of components and requires a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with team members, management, quality control, to work on our state-of-the-art equipment.in a fast-paced environment.Duties<ul><li>Use Mastercam to create CNC programs for mills and lathes.</li><li>Set up, adjust, and operate CNC mills and Lathes along with any other necessary equipment according to setup documentation and or work instruction.</li><li>Verify set ups by measuring positions, checking tool length offsets and or fixturing.</li><li>Solid understanding of G and M codes.</li><li>Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine the need for adjustments or repairs. Report findings to supervisors</li><li>Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.</li><li>Effectively use precision measurement tools, such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, dial indicators, gauge blocks, sine plates, sine bars, indexing heads, rotary tables, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), and Vision Systems.</li><li>Measure completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.</li><li>Perform all form, fit, functional, and performance tests required.</li><li>Document actions by completing production and quality logs.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance and daily machine shop tasks.</li><li>Confer with engineering, shop management, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical and tie in information.</li><li>Able to stay on task and work with minimal supervision.</li><li>Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.</li><li>Willing to learn new equipment such as 5th axis, Wire EDM, Swiss and Mill-Turn</li><li>Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>High School diploma/GED</li><li>Must have Five (5) years of CNC programming experience using Mastercam software</li><li>Must have Five (5) to ten (10) years of precision machining experience within a manufacturing / job shop environment.</li></ul>Experience with the following Machines (Operating, Setting up, at Machine Edits):<ul><li>Mills 3 &amp; 4 Axis</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:Experience with the following Machines (programming and or Operating, Setting-up, at Machine Edits):<ul><li>Matsuura 5 axis (preferred)</li><li>EDM Wire (preferred)</li><li>CNC Citizen Swiss (preferred)</li><li>CNC DMG Mori NLX 1500 (preferred)</li><li>Complete verification software</li><li>Advanced manual mill and lathe abilities</li><li>Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge of G&amp;M code, GD&amp;T, measurement tools, Shop math, and blueprint reading is required.</li></ul>Additional information<ul><li>Job Type: Full-time</li><li>Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour DOE</li><li>Expected hours: 40 per week.</li><li>Shift: Days with weekends as needed</li></ul>Work Location: In Person, Fife, WA 98424 (Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.)If you are passionate about precision machining and eager to contribute your skills in a collaborative environment, looking for a family owned company on the move with strong growth potential, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a CNC Programmer/Machinist at BPI Medical.Job Type: Full-timePay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>Day shift</li><li>Weekends as needed</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>CNC Mastercam programming: 5 years (Required)</li><li>CNC Machining: 10 years (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Fife, WA 98424 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Fife, WA 98424: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
