Primary Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Read blueprints, diagrams, measurement tools and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.</li> <li>Perform precise measuring to ensure components are machined to the specific tolerances and surface finishes.</li> <li>Set up and operate CNC machines to maximize the use of materials and equipment.</li> <li>Operate and handle materials and tools in a safe manner.</li> <li>Report any environmental and health &amp; safety issues that arise.</li> <li>Assist with the training of other employees.</li> <li>Ensure that the work area is kept clean and appropriate safety equipment is worn at all times.</li> <li>Perform Preventative maintenance on equipment</li> <li>Other duties assigned</li></ul> Education &amp; Experience: <ul> <li>Up to 1year experience on setup and operation of CNC Lathes and or Mills</li> <li>Okuma / DMG Mori / Mazak / Weingartner experience preferred.</li> <li>Mill-turns, live tooling, 3 axis lathes, 5 axis mills.</li> <li>Insert selection, tooling recommendations and selection.</li> <li>G-Code, Siemens / Heidenhain / OS300 controls.</li> <li>A combination of formal higher trade/educational training and/or several years of progressive and practical CNC machining experience.</li> <li>Able to carry out your own setups, perform first off inspections and make program changes/modifications to optimize processes and achieve product quality requirements.</li> <li>Perform daily and frequent interval PM activities on equipment to ensure the machines are running at its optimum performance.</li> <li>Extensive experience of operating two machines simultaneously in a lean manufacturing cell arrangement</li> <li>Excellent mathematical and numerical comprehension.
