POSITION SUMMARY: Utilize computerized numerical control machining skills efficiently to support customer requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: <ul><li>Set up and operate 3, 4 &amp; 5 Axis CNC milling machine to mill surfaces of metallic and nonmetallic work pieces. Compare numerical data display with specifications on operations sheet.</li><li>Read, interpret and edit G-Code for offset change.</li><li>Periodically verify the conformity of the parts being machined to the specification in the router packet.</li><li>Adjust program parameters to allow for variation in tool edge, material hardness, and other factors affecting the effective performance of the milling center.</li><li>Grind, deburr and polish parts to achieve smooth finished edges and surfaces, and then clear out the interior surfaces of all holes.</li><li>Perform basic day- to-day maintenance of machine, including checking &amp; filling coolant and cleaning the machine.</li><li>Provide feedback for product improvements for quality and cost as part on ongoing learning process of operations.</li><li>Exhibit a High Quality Control Standard First Piece Quality or Zero Scrap Mentality.</li><li>Supports the company and department business goals and objectives for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Attitude (QCDSA).</li><li>Function as a team member and under minimal supervision.</li></ul> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EXPERIENCE: <ul><li>Minimum 2 years CNC experience in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Ability to read, interpret and edit G-code.</li><li>Must be able to set up machines with no supervision.</li><li>Experience in editing programs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.</li><li>Must have own tools.</li><li>High proficiency in Blue Print Reading, GD&amp;T, Inspection Tools &amp; Methods.</li><li>Experience with Aerospace materials, tolerances and quality requirements beneficial.</li><li>Familiarity with forklift operations beneficial; ability to successfully pass a forklift operations test.</li><li>Basic Quality procedures / ISO.</li></ul> Pryer Aerospace is committed to providing a benefits package that strives to meet the needs of its employees and their dependents.
