Tool &amp; Machine, Inc. is a technologically advanced family-owned manufacturing company experienced with producing close tolerance CNC precision turned, machined, fabricated/welded components, electro-mechanical assemblies and fixtures servicing major corporations.&nbsp;Job Summary:&nbsp;This position is accountable for operating production machines to produce parts in accordance with established standards and guidelines as well as act as a back-up for the Lathe supervisor.Reports To:&nbsp; 2nd Shift SupervisorRequirements:&nbsp;High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 1 year of experience as set-up operatorAbility to sit, stand, twist, bend and walk for long periods and lifting up to 35 lbs.Job Responsibilities:Load, unload and deburr partsFist article inspection and follow the Quality prescribed planInspect finished parts and compare them with the requirements of the blueprintMeet production goals in terms of quality, quantity and cycle timeHelp oversee day to day production on machines 64, 65, 47, 34, 35, 55 and 59Help with planning of daily activities and tasks.Help with set ups and programmingLook for ways to improve programsSchedule the members of the department with work centers and corresponding jobsTrain employees and submit training documents to HR and set new goals for themDiagnose and solve problems within the departmentOffer input for reviewsGive supervisor daily oral reportsFollow ISO standards and practice Lean 6S manufacturing principlesUse of proper PPE at all timesPreferred Skills:Mechanical aptitudeBasic math skillsBlueprint reading
