PRIMARY FUNCTIONS The primary functions include operating multi-axes computer numerical control (CNC) milling machines or lathes to machine surfaces of metallic and nonmetallic work pieces. Who we are looking for We are looking for an outstanding Senior Machining Engineer who will bring proven expertise to our dynamic team. This role involves conducting pre-order and post-order technical reviews, developing flawless machining strategies, estimating cycle times, and providing world-class technical support to CNC programming and machining operations. What you will get to do Quoting and proposal work: <ul><li>Conduct technical review of customer drawings, models, and specifications</li><li>Provide feedback on manufacturability, including DFM input on customer designs</li><li>Determine and establish machining strategy, including the number, type, and sequence of machining operations for the product by applying our equipment and capabilities effectively.</li><li>Determine the need for any customized work holding fixtures and/or tooling required to perform the job</li><li>Evaluate customer and industry specifications applicable to the part, and determine / incorporate those requirements in the machining strategy. Senior Machining Engineer

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS The primary functions include coordinating activities of Manufacturing Department in preparing programs for the machining cells by performing the following duties. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Major Responsibilities, including the following: <ul><li>Responsible for ensuring quality standards can be met.</li><li>Participates in preproduction meetings to develop manufacturing process.</li><li>Analyzes drawings, sketches and design data of part(s) to facilitate the processing of the machining of the part(s). </li><li>Responsible for maintaining the process developed in the preproduction meeting.</li><li>Creates and maintains documentation, including but not limited to, tooling lists, set-up sketches and process drawings, to aid the machinist in set-up, prove out, and completion of the part(s).</li><li>Designs fixturing necessary to the machining of the part(s). </li><li>Responsible for the meeting time and cost requirements for fixtures, tooling and CNC programs.</li><li>Responsible for delivery of all designs for fixtures and tooling to the Manufacturing Engineer.</li><li>Creates CNC program to regulate movement of the machine tool.</li><li>Responsible for communicating with the Manufacturing Engineer all issues found as the job is being programmed.</li><li>Supports manufacturing and quality as necessary, providing information required to machine and inspect the part(s),</li><li>Responsible for working with the Manufacturing Manager and the operator to ensure a quick setup and prove out of the program.</li><li>Manages multiple tasks simultaneously.</li><li>Experience using CAD/CAM software. Experience using Esprit, MasterCam and Solidworks preferred.</li><li>Assists lower level associates, as needed.</li><li>Works overtime as required.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate degree or Trade School CNC Machining Certificate preferred; or at least seven years machining experience.
