SUMMARY Set up and operate CNC Machining Centers, Manual Mills, or Manual Lathes in order to produce precision parts in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <ul><li>Position and fasten work pieces.</li></ul><ul><li>Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machine.</li></ul><ul><li>Select the appropriate tools and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.</li></ul><ul><li>Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, and Grinders.</li></ul><ul><li>Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.</li></ul><ul><li>Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers, depth micrometers, inside diameter gauges, and outside diameter gauges.</li></ul><ul><li>Read and understand gauging sheets.</li></ul><ul><li>Read and interpret blueprints to insure parts are being made according to specifications.</li></ul><ul><li>Listen to machine and tooling to ensure machine and tooling are running properly.</li></ul><ul><li>Operate hoist in order to load parts onto machining center, lathe, or mill.</li></ul><ul><li>Takes job down efficiently (Tooling, cleaning fixtures, putting gauges back, etc).</li></ul>

CNC Machinist

SUMMARY Repair, adjust, install, or maintain CNC Machining Centers, Manual Mills, Manual Lathes, Gear Machines, and other industrial equipment and to maintain production facility by applying knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings. Please Note: If you have experience working on industrial machinery or possess strong electronic, electrical, and mechanical abilities; we are willing to train. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <ul><li>Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.</li><li>Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.</li><li>Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production equipment and machinery.</li><li>Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.</li><li>Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.</li><li>Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.</li><li>Install, test, repair, and troubleshoot various CNC controls.</li><li>Maintain, install, repair, and replace electrical wiring, electronic wiring, and plumbing in the production facility.</li></ul> OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES <ul><li>Actively participate in the 5S program, which is to Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain in order to maintain a highly productive work environment.</li><li>Assist with keeping the department and machinery clean.</li><li>General fabrication welding.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY <ul><li>Requires ability to read M-Codes</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints.</li><li>Extensive Knowledge of Fanuc controls, with experience working with Heidenhain, Okuma, and Allen Bradley CNC Controls.</li><li>Ability to use the controller to diagnose problems with the machine tool.</li><li>Ability to install ball screws.</li><li>PLC knowledge and trouble shooting skills</li><li>Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.</li><li>Ability to use Megger.</li><li>Possess the ability and knowledge to rig and install machines and other industrial equipment.</li><li>Strong Electronic and Electrical Skills.</li><li>Ability to read precision measuring instruments such as Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Levels, and Lasers.</li><li>Active Listening Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.</li><li>Operation Monitoring Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.</li><li>Computer Skills.</li><li>Basic Math Skills.</li><li>Basic English Language Skills</li></ul> EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE <ul><li>3 + Years CNC Machine Repair experience</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
