Our Warminster, PA location is currently seeking an experienced CNC Mill Setup/Operator. who has experience in a production environment and possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to learn quickly. Responsibilities and Duties <ul><li>Setup/ Operate Haas and Chiron milling machines</li><li>Inspect parts per print and in process documentation</li><li>Clear chips and maintain a safe work environment</li></ul> Experience and Skills <ul><li>1 to 5 years in a machine shop environment</li><li>Ability to understand G/M code and create/edit programs</li><li>CAD/CAM programming experience (Mastercam experience a plus)</li><li>Proficient use of micrometers, gauging and comparator</li><li>Familiarity with vertical and horizontal machines using 3, 4 and 5 axis</li><li>Skilled blueprint reading</li></ul> Minimum Requirements <ul><li>Must be 18 years old</li><li>High School diploma or GED preferred</li><li>Proficiency in general math</li><li>Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.</li></ul> Benefits Competitive salary including a full range of health benefits, paid time off, 401k with company match after 3 months of service. Role Overview The CNC Machinist will produce machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. Work Location: Onsite, Farmington, PA Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters.</li><li>Interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&amp;T).</li><li>Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.</li><li>Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.</li><li>Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into positions.</li><li>Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.</li><li>Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.</li><li>Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.</li><li>Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.</li><li>Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.</li><li>Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.</li><li>Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.</li><li>Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Critical Competencies for Success <ul><li>High School diploma or GED</li><li>Functional and Technical Skills applicable to the operation of CNC machinery.</li><li>1-3 years working with CNC machinery and/or the completion of a CNC education program.</li></ul>What IMI Can Offer You At IMI, one of our top priorities is to create an inclusive culture of health.
